In October 2017, Ray Kolbe initiated the project to Beautify Santa Monica creek trail. The goal was to create habitat for pollinators. He was focussed on lepidoptera, particularly the Monarch. But he also planted California natives for bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. This gallery is in reverse chronological order, with the latest images appearing first and the original pictures before work was done, at the end. The photos are clickable, presenting a larger picture in a new tab.
